The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Woodworker to join our manufacturing team. 

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for building high-quality timber play equipment in a workshop environment. You’ll work alongside warehouse, component and products teams, playing a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Constructing and assembling timber play equipment including play towers, mud kitchens, and climbers  

  • Operating woodworking and component machinery safely and efficiently (e.g. chop saws, table saws, band saws, drills, sanders)  

  • Working from technical drawings and design specifications to ensure accuracy  

  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet BS EN1176 safety standards  

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment  

  • Managing materials efficiently to minimise waste  

  • Identifying and resolving challenges during the build process 

  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a productive workflow 

  • Preparing, finishing and stocking components ahead of workshop builds 

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, has a passion for quality, has strong practical skills and can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment. 

Essential:

  • Experience working in a woodworking workshop  

  • Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery  

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings  

  • Understanding of workshop health and safety practices  

  • High attention to detail and quality 

Experience & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools  

  • Ability to produce safe and high-quality timber builds  

  • Good problem-solving skills and practical thinking  

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines  

Desirable:

  • Experience working on outdoor structures or play equipment  

  • Knowledge of BS EN1176 safety standards  

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment 

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary Band: £25,500 - £28,560
