Sales Coordinator
About Phoenix Play
At Phoenix Play, we have over 20 years of experience designing and installing inspiring educational play environments across schools, nurseries and public settings.
Our mission “Stories Start Here” reflects our belief that every playground is more than just equipment, it’s a place where friendships are formed, confidence grows, curiosity is encouraged and unforgettable experiences begin.
From climbing frames and Early Years outdoor spaces to bespoke outdoor classrooms, every project we create is designed to make a lasting impact on the children who use it.
About The Role
You'll be one of the first people our customers speak to when they contact Phoenix Play.
Working with schools, nurseries and other organisations, you'll take the time to understand what they're trying to achieve with their outdoor space - whether they're looking to transform a playground, improve their EYFS provision, create an outdoor classroom, introduce inclusive play opportunities or simply understand what's possible within their budget.
You'll build rapport, ask the right questions and use your knowledge of our products and services to identify the best next step for each customer.
As part of our sales team, you’ll work in partnership with our Outdoor Learning Consultants to help progress opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation and beyond. You’ll play an important role in ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their journey, while helping our consultants to bring projects to life.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we want them to feel valued, supported and rewarded for the difference they make.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the first point of contact for schools, nurseries, local authorities and other customers, building strong relationships through phone, email and live chat.
- Understand each customer's needs, aspirations, budget and timescales, providing help, initial guidance and identifying the best next steps.
- Qualify enquiries and generate high-quality sales opportunities.
- Manage and follow up your own pipeline of enquiries, ensuring customers receive timely, professional and personal communication throughout their journey.
- Accurately maintain detailed customer and opportunity information within our CRM system.
- Arrange appointments and manage diaries for our Outdoor Learning Consultants, ensuring meetings are well organised and relevant information is shared in advance.
- Work closely with the Internal Sales Manager and Outdoor Learning Consultants to progress opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
- Support new business activity by helping our Outdoor Learning Consultants maintain momentum on opportunities and deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
Who Are We Looking For?
You'll ideally have experience in sales, customer service, account management, business development or another customer-focused role. More importantly, you'll be someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, understands how to build trust and is motivated by helping customers find the right solution.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A confident and natural communicator who is warm, personable and able to build rapport quickly.
- An active listener who knows how to ask insightful questions and understand customer needs.
- Commercially minded, with the confidence to identify, progress and support sales opportunities.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple enquiries, opportunities and priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and CRM systems and able to learn new technology quickly.
- A strong team player, who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
- Knowledgeable and interested in education, children's development and the positive impact of outdoor learning and play.
While this role is typically offered on a full-time basis, we would also be happy to consider term-time only applications for the right candidate.
