Setting the Scene

Hayesdown in Frome is a First School that caters for children aged 4-9 years. They are blessed with spacious grounds that included some tired Trim Trail and surfacing.

Customer Objectives

The Business Manager, Nicki McCormack contacted us to refresh the play area and provide a special treat for the children who had been so negatively impacted by Covid. It was key that the children be involved in choosing the equipment, creating a wish list and making the decision about the final design. The PTA had also generously donated towards the project.

Our Solution

We replaced the existing worn-out trail with a Jungle Climber which provides open ended free play with more challenge for the older years.

We added some new Trim Trail with Just Like Grass surfacing running off the edge of the existing tarmac playground. This extended the all-weather play space, and we also linked the surface to an existing outdoor classroom, improving all year-round accessibility. All was installed in perfect time for the children returning to school.
