My journey with Phoenix began in 2018, shortly after graduating with a degree in Primary Education. Having experienced both teaching and working as an Outdoor Learning Consultant, I’ve seen firsthand the importance an inspiring outdoor space can have on children's play. Whether it's small changes or a large transformation, the outdoor environment plays a vital role in sparking curiosity, encouraging creativity and supporting children's learning.
My role at Phoenix involves working with a wide variety of schools and settings to bring their outdoor visions to life. Every project begins with listening, taking the time to understand unique goals, challenges and long-term aspirations. The most rewarding part of my role comes once a project is complete; seeing children use their new area and making it their own. It's a lovely reminder of how transformative an outdoor space can be.
When I’m not at work, you will probably find me getting lost in a good book or talking about a new food recommendation as I am a big foodie. I’m also a big fan of Padel and Pilates and will never say no to travelling somewhere new!
