Parkdale Primary School, Nottingham

Parkdale Primary School are a large, multi-cultural school on the outskirts of Nottingham. Part of the Transform Trust which comprises of 21 schools in the East Midlands. They provide an exciting and broad curriculum, full of creative arts, sports and personal and social development, as well as striving for high academic standards. Pete Hillier the headteacher takes outdoor play, learning and sports very seriously, so it has been a pleasure working with him and the team on our fourth project at Parkdale Primary School.
Parkdale Primary School approached us to develop their playground into a new vibrant space that the children could use to perform shows, narrate a story or a dance performance from.
We created a striking amphitheatre with a rainbow roof, which became the perfect stage for them to enjoy. We also included products from our Imaginative and Creative range to bring the space to life and enrich their learning environment.
Den posts enabled the children to build their own dens and create their own stories; teepees provided a space to interact with each other; and the planters gave them opportunity to grow plants and fruits and develop their skills.
