I joined Phoenix Play as an Outdoor Learning Consultant in 2017. Having spent the early part of my career working across primary schools and nurseries teaching PE and sport, I’d already seen first-hand how powerful outdoor play can be, and how important learning beyond the four walls of a classroom really is!

In fact, when I think back, so many of my fondest memories and experiences came outdoors. It kept me fit, healthy and active. It taught decision-making and risk-taking. And, importantly, it’s where many of my greatest friendships began!

Over my years at Phoenix, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with so many people and settings looking to develop their outdoor spaces – from school playgrounds and nursery gardens to public parks and even EV service stations. Each project has been unique, but they have all shared one common goal, perfectly aligned with our purpose at Phoenix Play: a want to maximise their budget to create the most engaging and inspiring outdoor learning and play space for their young audience.

Now, as Head of Sales, I am proud to lead and support our fantastic team of Outdoor Learning Consultants and Advisors as they work with customers across the country. Together, we combine our shared passion for design and deep understanding of children’s play and development with our industry-leading products, to create spaces that transform the way children learn, play and grow.

Outside of work, life is just as full of play! I live in the Suffolk countryside with my partner and our two children, and plenty of ‘the great outdoors’ right on our doorstep. Whether it’s family holidays, adventurous days out, or getting far too invested in my little boy’s arts and crafts, I love spending time together and creating stories of our very own!
